Jory Sherman – western author and painter- truly the eyes have it!
Jory Sherman has painted images with words for over 40 years. Most of these were western books. I do so appreciate reading a book and having the scenes come into view like watching a video!!
Enjoy his painting below:

He also is dabbling in acrylic and watercolor paintings. Here is Deep Space Nebula. He calls himself a primitive impressionist and if they are all like his Nebula painting, they are a feast for the eye- an explosion of colors!
He just recently taught a writing course at the Winnsboro Center for the Arts on June 5th. This course is available on his website as well. They are also exhibiting his paintings and books at the center during that month-long period, June 5th through the 26th.
For all those living in the Upper East side of Texas, flick through the County Line magazine until you reach the piece on Jory Sherman as he proudly presents his Alamo painting. Look for it in either the July or August 2009 edition.
